Kalivia, Greece

Kalivia is a modern industrial building which hosts a variety of activities; plaster product and mold production, wood/blacksmith workshop, 3d printing and automotive repair/conversion workshop and art projects, such as sculpture atelier and art workshops for kids and creative adults.

These multidisciplinary activities coexist harmoniously as they interact with each other in a creative way.

The production line of plaster products occupies the biggest part of the premises. At the basement and its attic, the workshops are allocated. The necessary state-of-the-art equipment, such as dryers, vibrating tables, vacuum mixers, 3d printers and CNC-machines, have been taken into account in order to optimize the organization of each space. At the ground level there are reception, exhibition and storage areas, while at the 1st and 2nd floor there are offices and smaller workshop areas.

The building is being adapted to the growing needs of the hosted projects. Therefore, Kalivia is a project with successive constructional phases. The dominant material here is concrete, uncoated to vertical surfaces and polished to the horizontal ones.
