Jagged Bookcase

Athens, Greece

2009 - 2010

The challenge was to design a bookcase as a functional and at the same time sculptural item, that will accommodate dozens of books. Jagged Bookcase is made from solid marine plywood elements. Both sides of the plywood panels are coated with oak or walnut veneer. A wooden frame envelops the grid with the interlocking horizontal and vertical 18mm slats.

This overflowing bookcase gives the space dimension and texture.
