Fixers are a group of people whose aim was to promote the philosophy of open source software, creativity and solidarity, channeling the knowledge they have gained from the fields of science and technology into society. They were looking for a creative space where people can come into contact with technology and learn that technology is first and foremost a tool for humans and for creation, beyond a means of consumption. This way, they wanted to show that high technology is not a privilege of the few, but a right of the many. For this purpose, we co-created a space where they would mainly work with 3D printing, printing their own creations, as well as custom prints.In the same workshop space they would built their own 3D printers and research into their design, as well as the study and construction of 3D object scanners. Through open days and workshops, people of all ages would come and build, with the help of the team, their own custom 3D printer.
